The second Qadr night, which falls on the 21st night of the holy month of Ramadan, has been commemorated at the Holy Shrine of Hazrat Fatemeh Masoumeh (SA) in Qom.
The rituals consist of staying awake till dawn, reciting verses from the Quran, and engaging in prayer and supplication.
Qadr is believed to be the night when the holy Quran was first sent down from Heaven to the world and the night when the first verses of the Quran were revealed to Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
